  • Help with suspension

    By Delriach
Hello, I have been using OKCupid for maybe 4 years now. I was recently suspended for some TOS violation. Support tells me that it was for abusive messages.I highly encourage you guys to look into this again because I feel like this is a mistake. I actually really like this app and have met many people over the years. Obviously all users should be protected from abuse and action should definitely be taken when someone is being problematic. That said, please contact me so we can resolve my issue with the suspension. There has to be some sort of misunderstanding going on because I can assure you that I didn't send anything abusive. And if something I said was flagged, I would love to know what it was that I said. There's no way to be a better person if I don't know what the problem is. The messages are send are generally things that refer to parts of a user's profile or I ask them questions about things that inspire them. I have to say that I'm incredibly shocked by the suspension.

Open my app to find that I've been logged out. I attempt to sign in and it says I'm suspended, but didn't tell me why. I had to delete the app to send a complaint on the website, only for them to respond that they don't respond to all messages, but they'd try to at least read it.
  • Hate all the recent stupid changes

Looks like some retards have recently managed to take over the design of this app. They will soon only have their likes using this app.

I enjoy the free of Cupid, I do wonder why not more to pick from, I find that even the paid site virtually have same ladies posted new matches are never new, just a repeat of same-O ones, you changed parts of site that if not talked they are deleted?? That seems like a bad idea as you don’t seem to have. Enough ladies to start with?? Good site not enough choice! Henry

  • This app USED to be amazing.

I’ve never reviewed an app before, but someones gotta say it. I loved loved loved this dating app a few years ago. Hands down the best one out there. I even met someone that became a very serious girlfriend on here a few years ago. What they’ve done with the messaging is just terrible. They swear up and down it’s to “increase matches, and improve the app” but it’s not, lol. It’s all about money. I get a notification that I received a message and got liked, but I’m unable to see it, unless I pay for A list, of course. Randomly while swiping, I’ll come across someone that swiped right, and sent me a message MONTHS ago. Seriously guys? Unless the message from a couple months ago was very clever, I’m not going to reply because it makes me seem so rude. I literally had to include in my profile, something along the lines of “I don’t pay for this app, so I can’t see your likes. Please send me a message so we can connect, and I apologize for my almost guaranteed late reply, more than likely, I can’t even see the message you’re trying to send me” Also, it used to notify me when people looked at my profile, which I thought was awesome. It almost turned into a flirting game for some of my potential matches. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars over one is because of the profile layout, and the questions they have on here. Those are great things when trying to meet someone online, and realize you have a connection before even exchanging the first message. But clearly, the developers here are trying to milk every possible penny out of this app that they can. I can’t say that I blame them, making money is great, who doesn’t like it!? But when it comes to making a profit, and becoming greedy, I think this app has officially turned greedy. You had a VERY special app a few years ago, and I regularly bought the .99 cent boosts, but I won’t even bother with those anymore, BECAUSE I CANT SEE WHOS TRYING TO TALK TO ME!!
  • Best dating app

I love that you get a lot of information about how the person is and what the person is about before you choose to swipe right or left. If you’re looking for something substantial rather than a hookup, this is the app for you
  • You're better off daring elsewhere

This whole app has home down the drain since I got involved in it. The developers for some reason decided that messaging and communication shouldn't happen unless you both "like" each other. This makes dating exponentially more difficult, especially since guys are expected to make the first move. This whole idea is biased to looks only and really hurts guys who are better at talking than using their looks to attract someone.
  • Probably gonna get deleted for writing this

They try to control every little thing you do. You can’t have too many likes, every message you send they ask you questions before you send it. They seem to watch your every move and have an input about every little thing, how annoying!
